Hi. I am a professional artist and I believe that when it comes to your best pal only a traditional painting fits the bill. Don't be duped by 'artists' loading a photo into photoshop and shoving it through a filter to pass it off as a 'painting'.
Nothing beats a REAL painting by a REAL artist.
Something to proudly hang on your wall and cherish long after the your pet has passed on. Pet portraits make original and personal gifts for special occasions.
I work with acrylic paint because this medium gives the look and feel of oil paint but allows me to work much faster thus keeping my fees down.
The portraits are painted from photographs. Obviously, the better the photograph, the better the finished painting. The best scenario is for me to take my own photographs which I do if the distance permits. Otherwise emailing me good digital photos or scans works well. Photos can also be posted to me and they will be safely returned. I will provide the postal address if needed.
Although animal portraits are my main commissions, I am a 'fully rounded' artist. I am a member of Wolverhampton Society of Artists and the Association of Animal Artists. But, I accept commissions of any kind including caricatures and graphic design projects. Please feel free to have a browse through my site. Please don't hesitate to contact me about any project you have in mind. Unlike some of my subjects, I don't bite.
Animal portraits cost from as little as £110 for an acrylic painting and can be posted 'as is' in postal tube or, for £120 posted already fully mounted to go straight into your own 'off the shelf' 16" x 20" frame. If you are reasonably local to me I can offer the picture fully mounted and framed for £140 and will try to arrange delivery.
Other commissions including caricatures etc can be discussed on a 'job to job' basis. I base price on time but, as I said, I am very fast!
